317L (00Cr19Ni13Mo3, UNS S31726) are molybdenum-based alloy austenitic stainless steel. With conventional chromium - nickel austenitic stainless steel such as Alloy 304, compared with more resistance to chemical corrosion. In addition, compared with conventional stainless steel, 317L alloys offer higher creep, stress corrosion resistance, compressive strength and high temperature performance.
